Scenario – Preparing for Progression

Guided Learning Hours: 90 hours

  • Independent Study Hours: 45
  • Total hours: 135
  • Unit 10: Preparing for Progression (18 credits)

You should begin to prepare for progression – your next step in your training / studies / employment in the entertainment industry*- following completion of this course in June 2019. (For those of you who attended the optional audition classes with Han Schofield you will already be familiar with much of this process and it will be a continuation and development of this work.)

In order to do this in a meaningful and useful way you need to carry out in depth research and preparation and, where possible, visit as many potential schools / universities / employers as you can over the duration of this assignment as this will help you in your decision making process.

Keep your options wide open and make a number of applications (save money for this as you will have travel costs and, quite possibly, audition costs too).

Develop a physical Portfolio to take with you to auditions / interviews as well as provide evidence on your WordPress site

* Even if your future plans have changed and you no longer wish to develop a career in the Performing and Production Arts industry, by enrolling on to year 2 of this qualification you are agreeing to complete and Pass this unit by focusing on progression paths in the Performing and Production Arts industry.
