Part 1
- (Actors / Dancers / Musical Theatre paths) Perform a selection of your prepared audition pieces, as selected by staff, to parents as part of Progression evening on Wednesday 16th October 2019 (date tbc).
- (Technical Theatre paths) Prepare your interview portfolio to be displayed during the interval, you will be expected to stand with your portfolio and answer any questions put to you.
Progression evening is the occasion when parents will learn about progression opportunities and the financial implications of particular course choices.
The Dress Rehearsal and / or the performance will be videoed as evidence on your behalf. Upload these videos to this page please and use them to reflect on (evidence of this will be on your evaluation & reflection page).
Part 2
Attend real auditions / interviews late Autumn and early Spring terms, record the outcome of these (on your Planning and Production page) and reflect and evaluate on how they went to hone your next auditions / interviews (on your evaluation & reflection page)
PRESENTATION – UAL definition: the degree of competence and proficiency shown in the organisation and presentation of themselves or their work to an audience
Fail
Ineffective communication and presentation of ideas. Lack of clarity in structure, selection and organisation.
Pass
Competent communication and sufficient clarity and consistency in presentation of ideas appropriate to the intended audience.
Merit
Confident selection, organisation and communication of ideas. Consistent approach to presentation demonstrating a good understanding of conventions and standards.
Distinction
Confident selection, organisation and communication of ideas. Demonstrating autonomy, personal style and an ambitious use of available resources to communicate ideas effectively to an intended audience.
